What an extraordinary opening to the 2008-09 season was the Novice Tournament on Thanksgiving Saturday!

Our first time freshman showed so much confidence and strength of spirit.  Given the “short time” since the start of the practice season, their accomplishments and determination was over the top, at Saturday’s Tournament.

Nothing is quite like being on the mat, for the first time.  Though they may not say it themselves, we believe each one of them was especially pleased that family and friends attended with enthusiasm and support. This sport is so much about “family” and we, as coaches, recognize the power and importance of family-friend support . . . especially in this challenging sport of personal growth and team spirit.  Wrestling is as much a meeting of the mind as it is body . . . and your young men demonstrated “PURE TOUGH” this past weekend.

Thanks for your participation.  We honor, welcome and hope for your ongoing participation.  We will include you, as the meets go on, not only on the sidelines watching . . . but in the trenches (on the mats).  It’s a lot of fun to be apart of the action and we hope you will welcome the opportunity to learn and be apart of the excitement.

Warmly,

Coaches Wayne, Scott and Jolin
